Daya’s Place is a recovery center that aims to treat substance use disorders, by focusing on the underlying issues driving a person’s addiction. This facility is based on values of inclusiveness and diversity, recognizing that marginalized communities are often underserved in terms of adequate mental health care. Balance, grounding, and sustainability are the main concepts used in developing the design.
